CSRA Diving

... Turning Sport into Art.

Taylor Yarbro

Taylor, 16,  is a very accomplished competitive dancer who has been dancing since age 2.  Her skills as a dancer helped her transition to the diving board.  On October of 2016, shortly after joining her high school swim team, Taylor realized her school did not have a diver on our team, something that can potentially affect competition outcomes for her school . Taylor decided she was going to learn how to dive to help her team. Since there was no one to teach her how to dive at school, Taylor joined CSRA Diving Club, where her diving coaches put her on the fast track, and raised her learning curve so she could compete in the swim meets diving events. According to Taylor, "What started as helping out my team, became an activity I actually enjoyed and I was not “half bad” at. I earned many points during my inaugural season for my team, but the best part was earning the respect of my coaches and peers for stepping out of my comfort zone and learning a new skill."  Taylor currently competes at the GHSA level.
